Kate, our Children and Families Worker, will, when not on furlough send material in order for families to run their own sessions. If you are not a part of our Sunday groups but would like to be included in this, please email: email@example.com
Children are a key part of all that goes on at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
On every Sunday we have a staffed crèche for those under 3, and 'Busy Bags' available for youngsters to use in church should they prefer to stay with their grownups.
3 to 11 year olds stay in church for the start of the service, then all leave for a snack and a shared worship time before splitting into groups: Bees for children up to 7, and T4J for those in Key Stage 2. Both groups have age-appropriate activities involving games, Bible stories, learning, and prayer.
Once a month we all stay in church for an All-Age Celebration, with a craft activity available for those up to the age of 7, and shared refreshments afterwards. The creche remains open on these Sundays.
Little Fishes-currently suspended
During the week we welcome babies and their carers to 'Little Fishes' baby group which meets on Tuesdays in term time from 1pm to 2:30. Babies can enjoy the surroundings and toys, while grownups enjoy a chat and a drink. There is no charge for this group.
On Thursdays in term time we run 'Fishes' toddler group from 10am to 11:30. It has a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, two accompanied singing sessions, and a variety of art and craft opportunities. Snacks and drinks are provided, included in the charge of £2 per family.
There is no need to book in advance for either of these groups, just turn up!
The Source-currently suspended
Our community coffee shop, The Source, has a children's play area available with a variety of toys and equipment, and on Fridays it offers simple craft activity packs for a small charge.
